Nobel Peace Prize talks climate change in Medellin

Premio Nobel de la Paz hablará del cambio climático en Medellín

Senior ECPA Fellow Daniel Kammen, a physicist, scientist, and climate issues counselor for President Barack Obama, will be in town to share his knowledge about the environment, their change and renewable energy.
Kammen is a renowned scientist who participated in the report Climate Change 2007, which shared the Nobel Peace Prize with former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore, to inform the world the damage caused by man and take measures to counter the climate change.
In his two-day visit in Medellin, he will meet with environmental officials of the city and the department, with EPM, and will give a lecture on Entrepreneurship Park.
The Agency for Cooperation and Investment of Medellin and the Metropolitan Area – ACI, coordinates strategic talks and meetings of this international expert to contribute their knowledge to environmental processes and sustainability of Medellin and Antioquia.
The experience of successful and recognized American scientist, Daniel Kammen, climate change and energy generation by alternative means, will serve local and departmental authorities, which through its officials will share information with the expert, to strengthen their own processes that seek to improve the environmental conditions of our region.
