Showcasing the results of the initiative: Generation of Electricity from Biogas

During this event the results of the ECPA initiative “Generation of Electricity from Biogas” will be presented. This project was developed in Honduras and Costa Rica, with a grant from the Government of United States State Department under the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) framework and was implemented by SNV and VIOGAZ.

This project began in September 2012 with the development of four pilot experiences in two swine companies and two coffee cooperatives while systematizing and disseminating the project experiences.

Based on the results obtained from this initiative, it is expected to generate new knowledge while raising public awareness of electricity generation from biogas as an alternative energy source.
