Request for Quotations: Towards the Intensification of Energy Efficiency Efforts in Government, Businesses and Households in Belize
The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (GS/OAS), through the Sustainable Energy Capacity Building Initiative (SECBI) under the auspices of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA), announces this “Request for Quotation”. Consultants wishing to quote to assist in the project Towards the Intensification of Energy Efficiency Efforts in Government, Businesses and Households in Belize are invited to submit applications to keterovic@oas.org; cmiller@oas.org and to eparada@oas.org.
The main activities are:
- Complete a cost of service study
- Adapt minimum energy performance standards (MEPS)
- Develop a certification system for energy service providers
- Stakeholder workshop on proposed certification system and MEPS
- Educate stakeholders on the certification system and proposed MEPS
SECBI addresses critical commercialization challenges related to expanding the development and use of sustainable energy alternatives as a means of injecting more affordable and less environmentally-harmful energy technologies into the energy matrices of Caribbean countries.
