Regional Workshop on Metrology and Technology Challenges of Climate Science and Renewable Energy
The event will take place the 14th and 15th of April – 2015, in Kingston- Jamaica, at a venue to be confirmed.

Member countries of the CARIMET Metrology Region.
Workshop Objectives
- Assess technology, measurements, and standards needs and existing capabilities of the CARIMET region.
- Increase awareness on measurements and standards capabilities on RECS within Government agencies.
- Promote regional and international partnerships, knowledge sharing and best practices for expanded utilization of renewable energy, measurement of GHGs and air pollutants, and efficient energy use and distribution systems.
- Identify measurements and standards training needs associated with Climate Science and renewable energy (RECS)
Thematic Regional Workshop – CARIMET
- Energy Efficiency in Buildings
- Renewable Energy & Smart Grids
- GHG & Aerosol Measurements.
Coordinate: OAS, NIST, and Bureau of Standards Jamaica.
Target: Industry, academia, and both public and private sectors.
Dates: April 14th and 15th, 2015
