Regional Technical Workshop: “Energy efficient trends for fossil fuels use”
The Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia, through its Energy and Mining Planning Unit (UPME) and the Department of Sustainable Development of the Organization of the Organization of American States (OAS), are pleased to announce the realization of the regional technical workshop, “Energy efficient trends for fossil fuels use.” The event will be held in Bogota (Colombia) on September 25, 2014.
This event aims to present the trends in fossil fuels use in Colombia, mainly in the industry and transport sectors, as they represent the greatest total energy consumption in the country, and have significant potential for energy efficiency. Representatives of the governments of South America will gather with local, regional and international experts in the field to provide their views, share their experiences and exchange best practices around fossil resources management in the region.
This workshop is an activity of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) Clearinghouse. For additional information, please contact Alejandra Henao (Ahenaop@oas.org) at the OAS.
