The Organization of American States and the U.S. Department of Energy, under the auspices of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA), are pleased to announce the launch of the Island Energy Transformation Training Series to advance sustainable energy transitions in the Caribbean.

Organized by New Energy Events, the four-part training series for island policymakers, regulators, and senior utility executives is designed to provide critical insight into tools and methodologies developed by U.S. National Laboratories to support energy sector transformation.

The fourth and final virtual session in this series will take place on June 23, 2021, as part of the 2020 Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF), and will focus on the requirements of robust procurement processes.

During each session, participants will engage in practical exercises and/or discussions on governance, procurement, and financial considerations necessary to develop successful transformational energy sector strategies to power economic development in the Caribbean.
