InterCLIMA 2013 and LEDS LAC Regional Platform Workshop
InterCLIMA 2013 will be held on the 4, 5, and 6 of December, 2013, at the Colegio Médico Convention Center, Av. 28 de Julio 776, Miraflores- Lima, Peru.
During the three days, renown national and international experts will come together in Lima to share and exchange experiences about climate change.
The central topic of InterCLIMA 2013 will be development low in emissions and resilient to climate, in which the awaited response is to start the development process for the Roadmap for the management of emissions, including goals to reach, shaping the proposed budget working groups, and inputs to the guidelines for sectors and regional governments.
The General Objectives of InterCLIMA 2013 are:
- To socialize the state of progress, challenges, and opportunities in relation to the prioritized elements for InterCLIMA 2013 and the management of emissions.
- To provide a socialization space on the concept of low-carbon development Peruvian actors; opportunities that would be attractive to the country and show successful experiences
- To provide a forum for training and reflection for selected Peruvian specialists, through discussion sessions and trainings provided by the LEDS LAC Platform within the prioritized themes.
- To work in a participatory way with Peruvian specialists and international inputs Roadmap for managing emissions in the country with a view to COP 20
As part of this platform, more than 100 experts in low emission initiatives from both the private and public sector in Latin America and the world will be present. LEDS LAC integrates initiatives, professionals, institutions and active networks in low emission in Latin America, facilitating collaboration, interlearning and the exchange of information between governments, experts, and private companies.
