For over 6 years, the Institute of the Americas’ annual Dominican Republic Energy Roundtable has created a space to address energy policy issues and topics of relevance to the country’s energy sector. During this year’s executive roundtable, speakers and panelists will analyze the current energy landscape, where discussions stand regarding the “Pacto Eléctrico” and the opportunities and challenges vis-a-vis natural gas and increasing deployment of renewable energy as part of the country’s energy matrix, as well as efforts to exploit domestic hydrocarbon resources.
