Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum 2012 (CREF)

This annual event is co-sponsored by the Government of Puerto Rico, the Inter-American Development Bank (IBD), Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Organization of America States (OAS), among others. Participants will look at policy and regulatory issues as well as forces driving finance and investment in renewable energy sources in the Caribbean context and the scope for a regional approach to renewables. Among the topics to be covered are project bankability, distributed generation, regional interconnection, the technological landscape, waste-to-energy, and combining renewable energy with energy efficiency in Caribbean buildings.
