The Union of Industrialists of Panama (SIP) and the National Environmental Authority (ANAM) organized the 8th International Symposium on Cleaner Production on April 24 and 25, 2013 at the El Panama Hotel, this event was attended by approximately 200 participants from both private sector and government entities interested in carrying out their work using CP practices.
Palma de Oro recognition was given during the evento to companies that have implemented environmental practices and the official presentation of the Panama Green Seal, both initiatives of the Union of Industrialists of Panama.
During his presentation Kevin de Cuba shared with the audience his experience with ECPA initiative “Closed Cycle Production in the Americas”. This initiative was implemented in Ecuador and aimed to introduce and showcase the viability and applicability of the C2C design method in the production sector of Ecuador. Kevin de Cuba also discussed the importance of innovative tools to develop business whose main purpose is to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impacts from industry and increase productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of business, especially those in small and medium enterprises .
