Third Inter-American Meeting of Ministers and High Level Authorities on Sustainable Development

During the Forty-Fourth regular session of the General Assembly AG/RES. 2816 (XLIV-O/14) the member States of the OAS requested to convene the Third Inter-American Meeting of Ministers and High-Level Authorities on Sustainable Development, accepting with pleasure the offer by the Government of the Republic of Honduras to host this Meeting on October 19 and 20, 2015. The Inter-American Committee on Sustainable Development (CIDS) has the responsibility to support the preparation and follow-up of specialized or sectoral meetings at the ministerial level or its equivalent, such as this one, including those convened to follow up on Summits of the Americas. The CIDS is also responsible to promote, oversee, and evaluate the development and execution of the Inter-American Program for Sustainable Development that is to be approved by the Ministers and High Authorities during the high-level meeting.
