Strategies to accelerate the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean

Side-Event within the framework of the Global Clean Energy Action Forum

As the nations of the Americas move toward a net-zero energy matrix, they face technological, economic and social challenges to innovation: How to encourage investment in renewable energy while adopting measures that strengthen basic rights and support grassroots development?

The high-level dialogue will encourage the exchange of experiences of four countries that lead the energy transitions agenda in the region, Dominican Republic, Chile, Panama and Uruguay, to foster shared strategies that accelerate the implementation of sustainable and inclusive energy policies.

High-level representatives from the four countries will provide their perspectives and share key actions to achieve a significant transformation in the energy and transport sectors, thus providing guidance to the update of the ECPA action plan toward the 2024 Ministerial Meeting.

Join our event on Friday, September 23, at 11:30 AM (EDT) at the David L Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh, USA – Room 304.
