Geothermal Development Forum

The Government of Dominica will host the Dominica Geothermal Development Partners Forum. At this forum, government will provide a status update on the country’s successes to date in developing its geothermal energy for the generation of electricity.

The Dominica Geothermal Program, Development Partners Event brings key partners together on September 26 and 27 that have been supporting the development phases of geothermal in Dominica. These partners include the EU, AFD, World Bank, Clinton Climate initiative, OAS, and EIB, among others. The government of Dominica has led successful efforts that include the execution of extensive geothermal studies and the drilling of three deep slim holes. The current event is intended to launch a next phase that will lead to the drilling of production wells and the development of a geothermal power plant to supply Dominica with clean, cost effective baseload power.
