ECPA presented at the VIII Latin American Forum

Austin, Texas—Mark Lambrides, OAS Chief of the Energy and Climate Change Mitigation Section of the OAS Department of Sustainable Development, spoke at the VIII Latin American Forum hosted by University of Texas and the Council of the Americas. The event brought together high level officials from the region, including Hon. Edwin Rodas, Vice Minister of Energy of Guatemala, Dr. Phyllis Yoshida, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia, Europe and the Americas in the Office of Policy and International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Hon. Kevin Ramnarine, Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago.

At the hemispheric forum, Mr. Lambrides presented ECPA’s mission, objectives and scope of action. He said that “ECPA serves as the place where governments, companies, academics and others can come together and share best practices related to sustainable energy and climate change. Institutions like the University of Texas can be valuable partners in the effort to educate current and future energy sector leaders throughout the hemisphere.”
