The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), and the ECPA Technical Coordinating Unit at the Organization of American States, is hosting a no-cost, webinar-based training on Energy Resilience in the Americas: Frameworks, Tools, and Applications. This webinar is being held in support of the III Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) Ministerial, which takes place in Viña del Mar, Chile this year. ECPA, founded in 2009, is a flexible platform for accelerating sustainable energy in the Americas.

This webinar will feature frameworks, tools, and practices for reducing energy system vulnerabilities to natural and man-made threats (e.g., storms); content will draw from material pioneered by Sandia National Labs and Argonne National Laboratory that has resonated in other DOE-led initiatives, both in the United States and globally. In addition, the webinar will feature case studies where resilience upgrades reinforced energy systems in the United States, whether for on or off-grid electricity contexts or inter-connecting energy systems. The webinar will also provide an opportunity for experts from ECPA member countries in North America, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America to share their experiences on frameworks, tools, and practices for strengthening energy systems.

The aim of this webinar is to give policymakers and energy practitioners an informed introduction to the concept of energy resilience as well as real-world applications for frameworks, tools, and practices that have proven successful in varied energy contexts.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
