Third Workshop of the LEDS-LAC Regional Platform

Chile’s Environment Ministry and the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) are co-hosting the Third Workshop of the Latin American Regional Platform on Low Emission Strategies (LEDS-LAC) of the Global Alliance on Development Strategies Low in Emissions (LEDS Global Partnership) under the theme ‘From Planning to Implementation’. The Workshop will provide a forum for officials from Latin American governments and international organizations as well as technical experts and other stakeholders in the region to share experiences and best practices, participate in training, establish collaborative links and work, and discuss innovative ways to achieve low-carbon development that is also resilient to the impacts of climate change. It also will seek to construct a shared vision, find synergies with other regional initiatives and discuss the priorities, services and collaborative activities the Regional Platform should address in its 2015 work plan.
