DESCRIPTION:\nMonday, March 18, 2013 – Saturday, March 23, 2013\nBioenergy Week\nThe Department of Sustainable Development of the OAS, through the Energy and\nClimate Change Mitigation Section, and under the “US and Brazil Memorandum of\nUnderstanding on Biofuels” framework, is co-hosting a capacity building activity titled\nBioenergy Week at the EMBRAPA Agroenergy headquarters, Brasilia, Brazil on March 18-\n23, 2013.\nThis training activity has been made possible through the Biofuels Outreach in Support\nof the Implementation of the U.S.-Brazil MOU for Biofuels Development program, funded\nby the U.S. Department of State. The organization of this activity is also supported by\nthe Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP) and the Government of Brazil.\nThe purpose of the activity is to promote the sustainable use and development of\nbiofuels and to strengthen cooperation among participating countries through the\nexchange of information on biofuel policies, regulatory frameworks, technologies, prices\nand standards.
