Global Standards to Support Regional LNG Development & New Tech for Small-Scale Distribution
The use of industry-developed technical standards for LNG equipment and services ensures employee safety and sustainability, and reduces costs associated with participation in the sector by harmonizing regulatory regimes. This session will analyze where and how these standards can best be deployed to support the development of new natural gas and LNG projects in the region. In addition, the session will cover how innovations in the small-scale LNG and gas liquids market have enabled containerized LNG and gas liquids to reach new markets with modest demand, such as the Caribbean and remote communities, despite LNG having been traditionally limited to countries with considerable demand in order to justify the costly investments for reception, storage and regasification.
